What this audit cannot catch

axe reliably detects roughly 30–40% of WCAG failures. A clean report above does not mean the store is accessible. The following require a human and are entirely absent from these results:

  • Whether alt text is meaningful, not merely present
  • Keyboard-only traversal: focus traps, unreachable controls, escape routes
  • Visible focus indicators, and whether focus order follows reading order
  • Whether the cart drawer, mobile nav, and predictive search are announced to a screen reader — this scan never opened them (static page-load scans only)
  • Video captions and audio descriptions
  • Reflow and usability at 400% zoom
  • Whether form errors are announced when validation fails
